Padepokan Gebang Tinatar is founded by Gus Iman (Iman  Widodo). It’s  taking inspiration from the history of  an Islamic boarding school located at Tegalsari, Ponorogo, East Java, Indonesia called ‘Gebang Tinatar’ also. This Islamic boarding school is now simply known as 'mosque Tegalsari' . This was the forerunner of all Islamic schools in Indonesia
